Tarrant County College Embraces CampusCruiser

In 2001, Tarrant County College conducted a review of its course management practices and campus communications, and concluded that CampusCruiser from Timecruiser Computing Corporation® was the best solution for their multiple-campus college. “The ease of use, managed student email accounts, centralized location for online resources and its integration with Datatel’s Colleague system made Campus Cruiser stand out from the pack,” said Wanda Shelton, Applications Consultant, with TCC’s information systems department.

Solutions of single sign-on integration with major eLearning application are available with CampusCruiser.

Have portal already?
If your institution has a portal already, but would like to offer your constituents certain functions of CampusCruiser portal such as e-mail capability, personal productivity tool set, survey, or course management functions, CampusCruiser can be repurposed easily to fit into your institution's portal environment.  For example, CruiserMail™ package offers institutions only the e-mail service and personal productivity suite.  All other undesired portal functions are stripped off from this offering.  Institutions need not worry about user confusion and, more importantly, unnecessary financial outlays.

What about other and future 3rd party applications?
To assist institutions to achieve the benefits of one destiny portal, Timecruiser provides professional services to collaborate with institution's technical team in order to facilitate customized single sign-on solution for homegrown web applications (Please refer to Third Party Application Integration).  Meanwhile, as an education technology partner, Timecruiser continues to look for value-add third party applications to offer ready solutions of seamless integration for institutions.
